These are the women who had a vision – a vision of a different life for their daughters and girls in their community. So many families simply did not have the funds needed to send their daughters to secondary school. These women could see what opportunities this modern world had for women, if they had the skills. MWEEP USA was formed to bring the “Gift of Hope”, funds for education. MWEEP Kenya women set criteria and select girls that apply for assistance to go to secondary school. These women also understand the importance of supporting these girls while they are in school to help them be successful.

Girls receive funds on a cost-share basis.  Families must be willing to pay for transportation, uniforms, other necessities.  MWEEP sends money for school fees.  On an average most girls receive $300 for one year of secondary school.  Funds from MWEEP go directly to the schools.
